Welcome to the Towns ,Cities
and Villages of the 1000 Islands. The Thousand Islands starts
at the mouth of the Lake Ontario In Kingston and runs all the
way down stream over 55 miles ( 89 km ) to Brockville, were the
end of what is known as the 1000 Islands. In between Kingston
And Brockville there is many towns and villages on and near the
Saint Lawrence River.

1000 Islands International Bridge to Brockville,

waterfront. A bicycle path on the north side
of the 1000 Islands Parkway stretches over
28 miles.

Gananoque is an Indian name which has been
translated to mean "the place of health".
Gananoque was incorporated as a village in
1864, and as a town in 1890. Gananoque is
located between Brockville and Kingston,
Ontario and is accessible by road and seaway.Gananoque
